Abstract

Prosthetic limbs are frequently tailored to the existing condition of the user’s body, often neglecting potential future changes to both anatomy and customer preferences. People for Prosthetics seeks to solve this by offering a durable, modular, and customizable solution that allows the user to alter the look and feel of their prosthetic as they see fit. A telescoping pole running down the length of the arm allows users to alter its length, while brackets at the base of the arm allow for further extension. Unlike the competition, our solution is meant to be the ‘one-size-fits-all’ prosthetic that will grow with the user throughout their lifetime. The options are endless and open the door to the future sale of attachments and customizations that will keep customers coming back for more.
