Abstract


The MilliStrikerTM from Impede TechTM is a simple and effective dynamic material testing apparatus, capable of testing at intermediate strain rates. It is designed to fill a critical gap in material testing technology that has otherwise been occupied by a costly alternative, the Split-Hopkinson Pressure Bar. Utilizing a compact design under one meter long, adjustable bar clamps, and an efficient solenoid launcher capable of a wide velocity range, the MilliStrikerTM delivers an elegant solution for all laboratories with impact testing needs. The MilliStrikerTM aims to set a global standard that is recognized by industries where precise material response data is essential – including aerospace, defense, manufacturing, and automotive. Research and development facilities worldwide can safely rely on Impede TechTM to provide equipment that produces accurate and reliable data.
