Abstract

Current soil testing laboratories lack automated solutions for sample classification, weighing, and dispensing, relying instead on manual processes that are time-intensive and prone to inconsistency. The NeverScoop Soil Extraction System, an automated soil sampling device designed to precisely measure and dispense samples for a variety of testing purposes, was developed to address this need. The system consists of four primary subsystems: an enclosure for structural support and safety, an extraction mechanism for controlled sample retrieval and homogenization, a hopper for consistent material flow, and a high-precision scale for weight verification.
