Abstract
The primary focus of the CSP design is simplicity with ease of manufacturing and repair. By reducing the number of permanent fixtures and custom designs, our design can be manufactured and assembled as efficiently as possible. In addition, the user interface design is user friendly and prioritizes user interface through intuitive product functionality. Very few shaker tables on the current market offer an integrated Optical Density/Fluorescent Intensity (OD/FI) system that is incorporated in the design. CSP wanted to change that and provide potential buyers with the opportunity to purchase an all-in-one shaker table that not only meets their shaking needs, but also their light measuring needs as well. CSP offers an integrated OD/FI system that emits ~350nm of light allowing users to measure not only the optical density of their solutions, but also it’s fluorescent intensity. This integrated feature makes it attractive to a variety of buyers, as it eliminates an additional machine or system our customers would possibly be in the market for. The CSP design also uses DC motors with embedded encoders that allow for variable speed and direction control. These motors are rated for both high and low temperatures and operate at a lower sound. The CSP design is IP-X5 certified making it a suitable choice for a damp environment such as a biological laboratory.
