Our driving passion for the creation of our product is to deploy a camouflage cover effectively and rapidly over an army vehicle, creating the easiest and most intuitive user experience while minimizing soldier man-hours per deployment and costs per battalion. CamoReady™ is unique as it provides a solution to the most frustrating aspect of using the ULCANS system: securely and swiftly staking the extending poles in the ground. The Army often operates on uneven or very firm terrain, making this process arduous. If the poles cannot stay planted, the entire netting system is rendered inoperative. With CamoReady™, soldiers have a ready-made device to bypass all of this struggle. What further sets our product apart is its versatility to work with any land vehicle. CamoReady™ is designed to add weight and surface area to the poles’ ground interaction in order to increase stability and eliminate direct terrain planting, regardless of vehicle. Each sub-assembly of the full product contains sleeves for 3 poles. Using a setting pin, which soldiers intuitively move between pre-drilled holes, each sleeve can lock between 5 different locations, creating a bevy of angles that provide variability in shape and size for the deployed netting. With the poles inserted and locked, all that is left for the soldiers to do is unroll their folded ULCANS netting from the top of the truck, spread it over the poles, and proceed safely with their mission.
